Tom Anderson is running for Portland Metro Councilor District 3 because he is passionate about serving his community. He wants to represent his neighbors in Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, King City, Durham, Sherwood, and Wilsonville on issues that affect the whole region.
Tom has proven experience in his role as Tigard City Councilor, serving on a variety of regional committees, including light rail and water. He is known as someone who listens first and asks questions before coming to conclusions. His ability to collaborate and put the well being of his community first is evidenced by the endorsement of the entire Tigard City Council and many of the mayors and city councilors of District 3. As an engaged and ethical partner, Tom can take on the tough topics to ensure the Portland Metropolitan Area is a desirable place to live, work, and raise families.
As stated in the Editorial Endorsement in the Oregonian, "Voters in this district representing portions of Washington and Clackamas counties should look to Anderson to defend the interests of the southwest suburbs in a council dominated by Portland priorities." Oregonian 4/29/2020
